Next step I'll be working on the wings, hair, a bit more on the tornado in his hands, and then lastly I can start working on the profile portraits on the side.

I'm trying to get back into the swing of things. To assist, I rediscovered the amazing website "conceptart.org" for their weekly events. I decided to jump on board for the creature of the week, which matched with my recent dabbling. Here's what I've come up with.

Beast sketch

Greetings everyone!

I was going through some things in my life and have just recently gotten back to painting. Here's an update on the paintings I was messing around with. Some are just sketches.

Here's a version of Capricorn I was working on. If I find time or focus, I'll try to come back to this one.

 This is a sketch of a giant insect-like monster rampaging a city.

 And here is just some odd creation to get my brain to start working. I wondered what a creature might have to survive if it didn't have any arms (in a creative way other than just a snake). This is what I came up with. I was also getting a feel for how to imitate wet skin. This is in a quick sketch paint of course.

Final of Beast Hunt

I decided to make another video of my progress through stages of a painting. I tested out a screen capture program but it didn't work out so well. I'll do some more testing later. Anyway, here's the video, with the latest final painting at the bottom as well. Enjoy!
